🇬🇧 Terms of Service – Lion Boots

1. Definitions and Scope
1.1 These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the distance contract between Lion Boots, a company registered in France under SIREN number 992 141 440, located at 10 rue de la Paix, 75002 Paris (“Lion Boots”), and the consumer (“Customer”) for the sale of made-to-order men’s footwear via the website www.lionboots.com (“Site”).
1.2 These Terms apply to all purchases made by the Customer on the Site. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of order confirmation. Lion Boots reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be published on the Site and apply to orders placed thereafter.
2. Prices
2.1 All prices are listed in euros (€), inclusive of VAT. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address.
2.2 For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties and import formalities are the sole responsibility of the Customer, unless otherwise stated.
3. Purchase and Payment
3.1 The contract is finalized upon successful payment and confirmation of the order by Lion Boots.
3.2 Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and other options offered via Shopify Payments. No additional fees are charged for any payment method.
3.3 The Customer is responsible for providing accurate sizing and customization details. Lion Boots is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Customer.
4. Production
4.1 All Products are made to order based on the Customer’s specifications.
- Fastlane: production within approximately 1 week + shipping (shipping to be added)
- Atelier: production within approximately 5 weeks (shipping to be added)
4.2 Minor variations in color, texture, or finish may occur due to materials or screen display settings. These do not constitute defects.
5. Delivery
5.1 Products are shipped by our logistics partners to the address provided during checkout.
- Estimated delivery time: 2–5 business days after production
- Tracking information is provided via email
5.2 If a parcel is returned to sender due to delivery failure, a second shipment may be arranged at the Customer’s expense. If the parcel is returned again, it will not be resent or refunded.
5.3 Delivery times may be affected by holidays, strikes, or other external factors. Lion Boots will inform the Customer of any significant delays.
6. Right of Withdrawal
6.1 In accordance with Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized. At Lion Boots, we agree about Order´s cancellation 12 hours after order confirmation.
6.2 Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
7. Returns and Refunds
7.1 If the Customer changes its mind, the Customer must contact contact@lionboots.com within 14 days of delivery.
7.2 If a return is authorized within 14 days after the date of reception:
- The Product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging
- Return shipping costs are covered by the customer
- Refunds are issued within 7 business days using the original payment method
7.3 Returns that do not follow the procedure or are non-compliant will be refused and returned to sender.
8. Warranty
8.1 Lion Boots guarantees that Products match the specifications confirmed at the time of order.
8.2 Subjective preferences (e.g., aesthetic judgments) do not qualify for return or refund if the Product matches the agreed specifications.
9. Customer Obligations
9.1 The Customer declares to be of legal age and to act as a consumer under applicable law.
9.2 The Customer guarantees the accuracy of all data provided during the order process.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All content on the Site (text, images, logos, trademarks) is protected by intellectual property laws.
10.2 The Lion Boots brand is registered. Any reproduction or linking requires prior written consent.
11. Personal Data & Cookies
11.1 Customer data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
11.2 Cookies are used to improve user experience and personalize content. Preferences can be managed via the browser or the consent banner.
12. Force Majeure
12.1 Lion Boots is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to strikes, pandemics, transport disruptions, or natural disasters.
12.2 In case of supply shortages, Lion Boots may reallocate resources fairly among pending orders.
13. Severability
13.1 If any clause of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
14.1 These Terms are governed by French law.
14.2 In case of dispute, jurisdiction lies with the Customer’s local court or, failing that, the Commercial Court of Paris.
